National Days/Weeks

It's taken a month for me to be back to almost-normal, and I'm a little creativity-challenged right now, so I've decided to combine two previous ideas.  Each week on Monday I'll post two photos which represent a "national day" or "national week" for the coming week [through the following Sunday].  Your job is to figure out which national day or week is depicted in each photo.  For example, if it's Monday December 20 and I post a photo of a Christmas tree, it's likely that the day represented is Christmas Day.  But there are a LOT of little-known national days and weeks.  For example, February 2 is Ground Hog Day and February 5 is Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.  So I could have used one of those this week but I didn't.

Here are the photos for this week.  What national day or week does each represent?  Even if you aren't 100% sure, make your best guess!  Come back next week to see if you're right.

2022 is off and running!

Unfortunately, it's not running in the desired direction.  On December 31, 2021, I took advantage of celebrating the beginning of the new year from a hospital bed.  Thankfully this was NOT COVID related.  Didn't come home until January 6, 2022.

This means it can only go up from here, right??!

Hopefully I'll have a real blog post next week.  Has your 2022 been better than mine so far?
