National Days/Weeks #7

Each week on Monday I'll post two photos which represent a "national day" or "national week" for the coming week [through the following Sunday].  Your job is to figure out which national day or week is depicted in each photo.  

Here are the photos for this week.  What national day or week does each represent?  Even if you aren't 100% sure, make your best guess!  Come back next week to see if you're right.

    I hope it's puppy week (and if it isn't, that really should be a thing). The other one I'm going to guess is artisan bread day.

    1) My better half used to work in a bakery. They made a big deal about French Bread day, enough that I can't forget it.

    2) Puppies should get a whole week instead of just National Puppy Day

      French bread *IS* a big deal! Especially fresh baked and straight out of the oven. Yum.
