National Days/Weeks #14

Each week on Monday I'll post two photos which represent a "national day" or "national week" for the coming week [through the following Sunday].  Your job is to figure out which national day or week is depicted in each photo.

    June 14 is Flag Day, if I didn't know it my computer told me so all day long.

    June 17, today, has something to do with garbage haulers, which sticks in my mind because it is so apropos that this is also the anniversary of WaterGate.
