  1. Not to sound like a broken record here, but our family is so grateful for this benefit too. We may gripe from time to time about where we have to go, what's covered and what isn't...but we're blessed to have it.

    1. I checked out the rates and co-pays. Definitely affordable compared to other insurance.

  3. My son refuses to use the VA here because of the problems they've had, but Dad got good care so I'm thankful for that.

    1. My son left the Navy after 5 years on a disability retirement for service related injury. It's an odd story but he's covered for related medical for life.

  4. Similar to Oz. The military are covered for care and ex-serviceman and families can join the Defence private healthcare (we have a totally different health care system which is where the difference comes in).

However, The Hub had to leave the army for medical reasons and the story wasn't so good for him (he was treated terribly).

    1. So sorry he was treated terribly! So far my son's only complaint is that it took way too long for them to figure out exactly what the problem was.
