Today is Flag Day, and it's also my oldest son's birthday.

We display our flag on a pole at the front of our house. What do you do?
Have never heard of flag day, so I'm guessing it isn't one of the big celebratory days in the US? We don't have anything similar in Australia.
ReplyDeleteThe Aussie flag isn't flown in front of houses all that much. Not that we aren't proud of our flag and Australia, it just isn't what we do.
We have flags all over our neighborhoods right now for Independence Day / July 4. Flag Day is not as major as July 4, but we do like our flags.
DeleteI am not a flag waver or displayer. It is mostly due to the cloud I was under during my senior year of high school.
ReplyDeleteThat cloud was called the draft lottery, and my number was 4. I was three weeks away from loading up the truck and heading for Canada when the Supreme Court made the lottery illegal.
Number 4? Yikes!
