National Days/Weeks #6

Previous week's photos:
March 1 - National Pancake Day
March 2 - Dr. Seuss birthday, National Read Across America Day

Each week on Monday I'll post two photos which represent a "national day" or "national week" for the coming week [through the following Sunday].  Your job is to figure out which national day or week is depicted in each photo.

Here are the photos for this week.  What national day or week does each represent?  Even if you aren't 100% sure, make your best guess!  Come back next week to see if you're right.

  1. Just wishing you a Happy Pi Day.

I know #2 is a termite mound, but I never met anyone who wanted to celebrate termites.

    1. Happy Pi Day to you too!

And #2 isn't a celebration week, it's an awareness week. I certainly wouldn't want to celebrate termites either!

  2. I'm with Craig, Pie Day, and no idea what the termites are.

    1. It's awareness, probably created by the pest control industry to create more sales!
