December 6, ____ - The 13th Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified, abolishing slavery in the US.

December 7, ____ - Delaware became the first state to adopt the US constitution.

December 7, ____ - The US Naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, was attacked by nearly 200 Japanese aircraft.

December 10, ____ - The General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  1. Sadly, the amendment didn't apply to everyone. Native Americans, for example, had a long way to go before being recognized as humans and being freed.

  2. Missed you and hope my brain infarctions have passed.

    1) 13 Amendment of our Constitution finally passed in 1865. The Civil War got in the way.

    2) Delaware ratified the Constitution in 1787

    3) 1941

    4) The Declaration of Human Rights passed in 1948
