Bonus points if you can name the event in the 1893 and 1871 photos!

  1. Chicago, Chicago, my kind of town. Lots of good restaurants.

1871 was when Mrs O-Leary's cow kicked over the lantern and burned the town down.

1893 was, maybe, the last Indian war; called the Black Hawk War.

    1. 1871 yep, you know that event!
1893 not quite but a good guess!

    2. 1893, since you are a romance writer you will probably not say it was the year H.H. Holmes Murder House was found.

I'd have to say that you will pick the World's Fair.

  2. I picked Chicago, but wouldn't have picked the events. I didn't realise Mrs O'Leary's cow was an event! We used to sing a campfire song about it, but I thought it was made up, lol.

Late last night, when we were all in bed boom boom boom, old Lady Leary lit a lantern in the shed and when the cow kicked it over, she blinked her eyes and said, "It'll be a hot time in the old town tonight, fire fire fire"

Wow, I'm amazed I still remember that.

    1. Definitely NOT a made-up event! Were you singing the song when you typed that?!
